THE HOMECOMING GOSPEL CHOIR

On a November evening back in 1999 at the Boyd Christian Church in Dix, IL., a small group of approximately 40 singers and musicians came together for what was perceived at that time as a 'one time only' event. The group was comprised primarily of members of the Boyd church choir and maybe a handful of you were in attendance that night.

The past 22 years have been filled with wonderful memories of people and places. The friendships and the fellowship of the HGC family has been very special, and I will look back over the past 22 seasons with a thankful and a grateful heart for the privilege of having been a part of this ministry experience. I would not trade the friendships that I have made through the Homecoming experience for anything. The final Homecoming Gospel Choir concert was held at Cornerstone Christian Church in Effingham, Il. on a November evening in 2021.

THE GOSPEL MUSIC HYMN SING est. 2022

The Gospel Music Hymn Sing includes a lot of the same elements of the HGC. There is still a choir setting, but more focused on soloist and group formats. John and Judy Roberts are the host along with Tim Parton, Polly Launay, Cheryl Harre, Tom Baker, and other great musicians. One change is the audience participation sections where you can sing some of your favorite hymns.

THE GOSPEL CONCERT SERIES 1997-2022

Since 1997-2022, our Gospel Concert Series, has been bringing the very best in southern gospel music to the southern Illinois area. Our concert events are housed at the First Christian Church in Salem, IL. Southern gospel artists who have appeared on our Gospel Concert Series programs through the years include: Anthony Burger, The Booth Brothers, J.D. Sumner & the Stamps, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, Greater Vision, The Hoppers, Ivan Parker, The Talleys, The Collingsworth Family, Triumphant Quartet, Aaron Wilburn, Allison Durham Speer, and many others. 

SUNDAY MORNING GOSPEL

Playing the very best in southern gospel music past and present, Sunday Morning Gospel, currently airs on 5 different Illinois radio stations every Sunday morning.
